A new Mexican-inspired taqueria is on its way to Daytona Beach, set to take over a storefront inside the Tarragona Shoppes at 1173 W. International Speedway Blvd. The concept, called Taqueria Villa, is expected to land in Suite 3 of the shopping center, with the restaurant's leader confirming the opening is in the works even as most other details remain under wraps.
According to WhatNow Orlando, the planned address comes from a permit filed with the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation, which lists the site as 1173 W International Speedway Blvd., Suite 3, Daytona Beach, FL 32114. Araceli Sanchez is leading the new concept, and she confirmed the planned opening in a brief conversation with the outlet. She was not able to share further details, such as a menu or specific opening date, by the time the article was published.
Where Taqueria Villa Will Land
The Tarragona Shoppes sit at the southeast corner of International Speedway Boulevard and Central Avenue, tucked between Clyde Morris Boulevard and Nova Road, per the same report. The shopping center sits directly across the street from Daytona State College, putting the future taqueria within easy reach of students and faculty alike.
A commercial listing for the shopping center sheds some light on the space itself. Per SVN Alliance, Unit 3 is a 1,750-square-foot second-generation turnkey restaurant space that's ready for immediate occupancy. The listing separately notes the shopping center's location across from Daytona State College, echoing the description of the surrounding area.
No Website Yet, But a Timeline Is Taking Shape
As of now, Taqueria Villa does not have a website or social media pages, the WhatNow report notes. That makes Sanchez's brief confirmation to the outlet the only public word so far on the project, with no menu previews or branding to pore over in the meantime.
Per the article, Taqueria Villa is anticipated to open later in 2026 or early 2027, though that window is described as an estimate rather than a firm date. For now, Daytona Beach diners curious about the new taqueria will have to watch the Tarragona Shoppes storefront for signs of movement.
