A new entertainment venue called OMAGINE is aiming to light up Waterloo with LED mini golf, pool, arcade games and immersive lounge seating when it opens its doors on December 1. The family-friendly spot is planned for 3010 North 240th Street, bringing a glow-soaked mix of games and interactive attractions to a corner of the metro that hasn't had this kind of entertainment lounge before.
According to Grow Omaha, which first reported on the project, OMAGINE will pack LED mini golf, pool facilities, arcade games and other interactive attractions into the Waterloo address, paired with lounge seating designed around immersive lighting. The outlet describes the venue simply as a private entertainment lounge, and notes that owner Matt Sonne is the man behind it.
Sonne isn't new to the Omaha-area party scene. He also operates Foamaha Parties and Putt & ParTee in the Omaha area, per the same Grow Omaha report, giving him an existing foothold in local event rentals before adding OMAGINE to his roster.
What's Inside the New Lounge
OMAGINE's own website lays out a similar lineup of attractions, describing mini golf, LED pool, VR, gaming and arcade games as the core draws, according to OMAGINE's website. The site frames the space as built for private bookings rather than walk-in arcade play, with private events starting at $398 for groups of up to 30 guests.
Most groups opt for a three-hour rental, with additional hours tacked on at $199 each, the site notes. That pricing structure suggests OMAGINE is positioning itself more as a rentable party venue than a drop-in arcade, a model that lines up with Sonne's existing party-planning ventures.
Foamaha Parties, one of those existing ventures, describes itself as based in both Lincoln and Omaha, serving the surrounding areas, according to its own about page on foamahaparties.com. That regional footprint could give OMAGINE a built-in audience of party planners already familiar with Sonne's brand.
How It Stacks Up to Other Metro Hangouts
OMAGINE won't be the only glow-lit attraction in the metro. Capitol Arcade Omaha already offers its own mirror maze and interactive LED game room, alongside pizzas and cocktails, and it partners with The Fat Putter across the street for mini golf access, according to Capitol Arcade's own site at letsgoputt.com. Like OMAGINE, Capitol Arcade also markets itself as a host for corporate outings and group events.
Further out, other family entertainment options dot the area, including The Amazing Pizza Machine, which has billed itself as Omaha's best family entertainment center and top spot for birthday parties. Separately, a different kind of attraction, an indoor sports and recreation center, was reportedly being considered at Omaha's Oak View Mall, though that project remains a separate, unconfirmed proposal from OMAGINE's Waterloo build-out.
For now, the details that are confirmed point to a single target date: December 1 at 3010 North 240th Street, with LED mini golf, pool, arcade games and immersive lounge lighting as the headline attractions for Waterloo's newest entertainment option.
