Olivia Rodrigo is set to take over Orlando's Kia Center for two sold-out nights, bringing her Unraveled Tour to the 400 W. Church St. arena with a show built around shifting seasons, floral staging and a dress that appears to melt away in front of the crowd. Tickets for both dates are gone, according to Orlando Weekly, which notes the first show kicks off at 7 p.m.
A Tour Built Around a Breakup Album
The run supports Rodrigo's third album, a romance chronicle titled “You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love,” following her earlier records SOUR and GUTS, as Orlando Weekly reports. According to WWD, the tour is in support of that same record and spans 86 dates across 28 stops, with the run scheduled to wrap in London on May 10, 2027. The Orlando stop sits in the middle of a tour that began with two sold-out shows in Hartford on September 25 and 26, per the same outlet's reporting.
Orlando audiences can expect the show's seasonal structure, which WWD described as moving through spring, summer, autumn and winter looks before circling back to spring for the encore during the Hartford kickoff. Orlando Weekly describes the production locally as featuring a relationship's changing seasons alongside floral stage scenery and dramatic weather effects, with special guest Devon Again joining Rodrigo on the bill.
The Dress That Dissolves Onstage
The tour's signature visual moment comes during the performance of “The Cure,” when Rodrigo wears a white dress that dissolves to reveal a red outfit underneath, according to Orlando Weekly. Vogue reported that at the Hartford opener, the white outer layer disintegrated before the audience's eyes, eventually washing away under artificial rain to reveal a fire-red corseted bodysuit and miniskirt. The garment was custom-designed and developed by Hussein Chalayan, Vogue noted.
Billboard's reporting on the costume explained the mechanics behind the effect: the dress is made from a special paperlike material that dissolves when it comes into contact with water. At the Hartford kickoff, Rodrigo performed nearly her entire new album alongside songs pulled from GUTS and SOUR, Billboard reported, with a dreamy rendition of “Drop Dead” opening the roughly two-hour show.
What Orlando Weekly Readers Should Know
Orlando Weekly, which says it has operated as Orlando's free, independent voice since 1990, is the outlet behind the original local preview of the shows. The publication also notes that its supporter membership starts at $5 per month for readers who want to back its ongoing arts and entertainment coverage.
