Petfolk’s Midlothian clinic listing gives the address as 1008 Steam Ave. and says the location is open on weekends and keeps daily capacity for urgent cases. The listing also describes primary and urgent veterinary care. Richmond BizSense reports that the clinic will offer dental care, spay and neutering, and diagnostic services.
The Midlothian site is planned to open Friday, according to Richmond BizSense. The outlet reports that the clinic will occupy 2,200 square feet and have six exam rooms at Midlothian Depot, a Chesterfield County center anchored by Whole Foods. Petfolk co-CEO Michael Wystrach declined to disclose the investment in the clinic, BizSense reported.
The company’s Virginia plans
Wystrach told Richmond BizSense that Petfolk expects to consider additional Virginia locations after the Midlothian site and plans to establish multiple locations in the Virginia-D.C. corridor over the next three to five years. The outlet also reported that the Midlothian clinic is Petfolk’s first in Virginia.
Petfolk’s Richmond-area pricing page lists a sick or urgent exam starting at $135, according to the company’s Midlothian listing.
