Pokémon fans in the Dayton area have a new date circled on their December calendars. PokeKon-Fest is set to take over the Hilton Garden Inn Dayton Beavercreek on Saturday, Dec. 5, running from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with exhibitors, local artists, merchandise and a guest appearance by voice actress Lee Quick.

According to WDTN, the convention will fill the Beavercreek hotel with trading card games, retro items, toys and video games, giving collectors and casual fans alike a reason to dig through old binders and backpacks for Saturday. The station also notes that attendees will recognize Quick as Officer Jenny from the Pokémon anime series, a role that has made her a familiar face on the convention circuit.

Tickets, Kids and the Fine Print

General admission runs $20 per ticket, and the event offers a family-friendly discount structure: one child under 11 gets in free per paying adult, while each additional child costs $10, the station reports. The organizer's event page for the Dayton stop also lists free parking at the venue, a detail that could matter for families driving in from across the Miami Valley.

Those who prefer not to plan ahead have options, too. The event's FAQ page states that tickets can also be purchased at the door or registration desk on the day of the show using cash or card, meaning last-minute decisions to attend won't necessarily be turned away.

What's Promised on the Show Floor

Beyond the trading cards and retro gear, the organizer's Dayton page says a roster of Pokémon industry professionals and fandom-related celebrities are guaranteed in attendance for fans to meet and greet, though specifics on exactly who beyond Quick will round out that roster haven't been detailed publicly.

The Dayton date isn't an isolated stop for the touring convention. A similar PokeKon Fest took place earlier this month in Reading, Pennsylvania, where, as BCTV reported, the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Reading hosted the same $20 general admission structure, the same free-entry policy for one child under 11 per paid adult, and the same $10 charge for additional children. That stop also featured Quick, whom BCTV identified as the original English voice of Officer Jenny, alongside a marketplace of trading cards, graded and vintage cards, video games, figures, plush, artwork, apparel, accessories and handmade merchandise.

Whether the Beavercreek show floor mirrors that exact lineup of vendors remains to be seen, but the format giving families, collectors and longtime fans a single Saturday to browse, trade and meet a voice from the show appears consistent from stop to stop as PokeKon-Fest makes its way to the Dayton area.
