Rumi Room is set to throw open the doors of its second Las Vegas Valley location this Saturday, November 7, with a grand opening running from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at The Bend in southwest Las Vegas. The new spot at 8730 W. Sunset Road, Suite G130, joins the restaurant's original home at the Evora development on South Buffalo Drive, where it first launched in 2024.

The expansion was confirmed by co-owner and executive chef Mamad Nafissi, who told WhatNow that the additional space was needed to grow beyond the existing restaurant's footprint. “We have an existing restaurant that we are growing and need more space for special events, dancing, and entertainment,” Nafissi said. That earlier report had pointed to a September opening target, though the restaurant's grand opening ultimately landed on November 7, according to WhatNow.

Rumi Room was founded by Nafissi and Dr. Ali Haq, with Nafissi bringing his Persian culinary heritage to the kitchen and Haq contributing influences from his Pakistani background. The restaurant describes itself as a destination for Persian and Indo-Pak cuisine, built around what it calls a dine, drink, dance philosophy, and it's named for Rumi, the 13th-century Persian poet and mystic.

What's on the Menu and Behind the Bar

Per the restaurant's own site, Rumi Room serves only prime halal meats alongside what it calls the most beloved dishes from Persian and Indo-Pak cuisine. The menu includes beef koobideh, beef soltani, chicken tandoori, chicken tikka masala, butter chicken and lamb specialties, rounded out by saffron basmati rice, kabobs, curries and premium steaks. The original Evora location's fan favorites, per the earlier WhatNow report, include the beef koobideh, beef barg, chicken tikka masala and handcrafted samosas.

The bar program leans into handcrafted cocktails and fine wines, with a lineup that includes the Saffron Old Fashioned, martinis, margaritas and a curated wine selection. Nafissi described the new Bend location as elevating that experience further, with an upscale dining room, private event space, a curated cocktail program and weekend live entertainment, the restaurant's executive chef told WhatNow.

A Growing Dining Scene in Southwest Las Vegas

The restaurant says it aims to combine food, hospitality, music and culture under one roof, offering an atmosphere built for conversation, celebration and connection. The Bend has been filling in with restaurants and shops, and a local reviewer at Everyday Vegas described the surrounding plaza as feeling fresh and new, filled with dining options. That same review notes Rumi Room's neighbors include Tachi Ramen next door, with Lemon Tree, Taps & Barrels and Basilico Ristorante Italiano located around the corner.

A separate rundown of The Bend's tenants from Jen DeBough lists Freed's Dessert Shop, Marufuku Ramen, The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill, Mothership Coffee, Butcher & Thief, Saint Felix Sin City, With Love Always and Union Biscuit as among the businesses already operating in the development. At its original Evora location, Rumi Room has reportedly seated about 60 guests indoors and roughly 40 more outside, according to WhatNow's earlier coverage of that opening.

For now, Rumi Room's focus is on Saturday's celebration, as the Persian and Indo-Pak concept stakes out a bigger footprint in a corner of the valley that keeps adding new places to eat. More details on the location can be found through Rumi Room's own site.
