Pasco Sheriff’s deputies are searching for Amy Villegas, a 45-year-old woman described as missing and endangered. Villegas is described as wearing light blue medical scrubs.
Villegas is 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs around 200 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
What We Know So Far
Beyond her last known location near Richwood Lane and the clothing she was wearing when she vanished, the Sheriff's Office has not released further details about the circumstances surrounding her disappearance. The agency's post classifies Villegas as both missing and endangered, though it does not specify what prompted that designation.
Florida’s Missing Endangered Persons Information Clearinghouse, run by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, serves as a statewide repository and provides analytical assistance to law enforcement. For adults 26 and older, MEPIC can accept a case when law enforcement suspects the person is endangered or a victim of criminal activity; the person must first be reported missing to law enforcement and entered into the National Crime Information Center.
Florida law defines “missing endangered person” to include an adult age 26 or older whom law enforcement suspects is endangered or the victim of criminal activity. The definition also covers adults who meet criteria for a Silver or Purple Alert. The state statute sets out those categories, but the designation alone does not identify which circumstances apply in Villegas’ case.
Villegas was last seen Nov. 3 at about 4:10 p.m. in the Richwood Lane area of Port Richey, the Pasco Sheriff’s Office alert says. The alert describes her as missing and endangered.
No update on her status or whereabouts has been shared since the initial alert went out. The case remains active as deputies continue to look for leads.
