Viva Las Divas: A Drag Spectacular opens Friday, Nov. 13, at Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa, with a second performance the following night. The Las Vegas-themed production is the ninth full-length Broadway Divas show presented at the Center by Miss Clair Voyance and Voyance Productions, according to the BroadwayWorld listing.
Both performances are scheduled for 7 p.m. in Samueli Theater, at 615 Town Center Drive. The listing gives ticket prices of $34 to $54 and notes a 10% discount with the code COMMUNITY. Segerstrom lists performance parking at $15, while cautioning that it does not own or operate the garages and that rates may change. Details on the venue and parking were reported by the Los Angeles Times and Segerstrom Center.
A theater revue among the company’s other formats
Broadway Divas is a cabaret-style drag revue built around songs from the Broadway songbook. The new installment draws on Las Vegas showrooms, showgirls and performers, and is billed with appearances by Miss Clair Voyance, April Showers, Dolly Levi, Big Deelish, Mama St. Merman, Leeko Rae, Thai Teaze, Mariah Carey Carrie and Glen Alen, according to BroadwayWorld. The Los Angeles Times reports that the show includes performances styled after Lady Gaga, Cher, Celine Dion, Liza Minnelli and Judy Garland, as well as a Michael Jackson performance.
The company’s appearances at Samueli have also taken other forms. In 2024, Voyance and several performers from the current lineup appeared in a Broadway-themed drag brunch there; The Show Report’s review said the event drew well over 300 people. Voyance first performed at the Center during its annual Halloween screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show in 2020, and that appearance led to Broadway Divas, the Times reports. These are examples of the company’s work at the venue, not evidence of a wider regional trend.
More productions planned
Voyance Productions has also staged Haus of Mayhem at the House of Blues in Anaheim. The Times reports that the summer production was the company’s highest-grossing show to date and that the company plans to take it to San Diego and Los Angeles. The company’s press page describes work that includes performances at Segerstrom, touring dates and Comic-Con appearances across Southern California.
The Times also reports plans for Haus of Plastic, a musical drag parody of Mean Girls, in early spring, and for a tenth Broadway Divas production at Segerstrom that same season. Those are future plans; the current listing confirms the two November performances.
