O’Malley’s Log Grill in South Glens Falls faces calls for scrutiny, according to The Post-Star.
According to The Post-Star, the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Department responded to 17 calls at the property from October 1 through October 12, including five fights in progress, one noise complaint and one assault or sexual assault call.
Police Chief David Gifford told the Post-Star that calls involved incidents both inside and outside the building. He said people involved typically cooperate with officers but decline to press charges.
Residents Describe Late-Night Spillover
Elliot Heyman, who lives near the bar, told the Post-Star that disturbances often begin at O’Malley’s Log Grill and spread across the parking lot onto Sorrentino’s property. He said the noise and activity can continue past the bar’s 2 a.m. closing time.
Separately, the New York State Police said that on October 6, an individual unknown to the homeowner entered an occupied South Glens Falls home and was shot by the homeowner.

Streetlight Repairs
Michael O’Malley founded the restaurant, and Jerad Ross revived it.
A Nearby Liquor Authority Case
A separate example in New York State Liquor Authority records involves Nashville of Saratoga LLC in Saratoga Springs. The Authority’s April 26, 2023 agenda listed 2022 disorderly-premises and noise allegations, as well as a failure-to-supervise allegation. That case is distinct from O’Malley’s, and the agenda entry alone does not establish its outcome.
South Glens Falls is working with National Grid to repair several streetlights that are out along Main Street, including one outside O’Malley’s Log Grill that is not functioning — leaving the laundromat across the street as the only outside light source in that stretch, per the Post-Star. National Grid maintains that streetlight.
