St. Elmo Brewing Company is marking a full decade in business with an anniversary bash featuring live music, new beer releases, food trucks and even a hat-making station to celebrate the milestone. The brewery is throwing the party to celebrate its 10-year anniversary, bringing together several of the elements that have defined its taproom culture since it first opened its doors.
According to CultureMap Austin, the celebration will include live music from Kev Bev and DJ Mel, along with a round of beer releases timed to the occasion. Food will come courtesy of Spicy Boys and Patty Palace, two outside vendors brought in to keep the crowd fed throughout the event. The outlet reports the party will also feature limited-time merchandise for fans looking to take home a piece of the milestone year.
A Hat Bar and Free Admission
One of the more distinctive touches is a create-your-own-hat bar provided by Kong Screenprinting, giving attendees a hands-on way to walk away with a souvenir. The celebration gives neighbors and longtime regulars alike a chance to drop by and raise a glass.
St. Elmo Brewing Company's home base is at 440 E St Elmo Rd G-2 in Austin, the same South Austin address the brewery has operated from throughout its run. The taproom's regular Saturday hours run from 11 a.m. to midnight, according to the Austin Chronicle's venue calendar.
Part of a Steady Lineup of Taproom Events
The anniversary celebration arrives alongside a packed calendar at the brewery. The same Chronicle listing notes a bluegrass jam with Riley Gilbreath and Lone Star Blue set for Sunday, Nov. 8, at 1 p.m., and the taproom also hosts Drag Queen Bingo with Louisianna Purchase on the third Wednesday of every month from 7 to 9 p.m.
St. Elmo has made a habit of marking its birthday with a crowd-pleasing mix of beer, music and food; a listing from 365 Things Austin promoted the brewery's ninth-anniversary celebration last December with beer releases, live music and food on offer. Details on the earlier party were limited, but the pattern suggests the brewery leans into its anniversaries as a chance to showcase what keeps regulars coming back.
