Sunny Friday Gives Way To Weekend Rain
According to the National Weather Service, a broad rain event will spread across South-Central Texas Saturday. Clouds and possible showers could arrive after noon, with rain chances of 40%–60% Saturday evening. Likely showers are forecast Sunday, with a high near 67 and a 60% chance of precipitation.
The wettest period is expected Saturday evening into Sunday morning. Rain chances may continue through Monday afternoon and taper Monday evening; most of the area may remain in the low to mid-60s. Austin could see less rain than areas farther south and west.
Tuesday Brings A Brief Break
Rain chances taper Monday night before Tuesday turns partly sunny with a high near 72 degrees. Veterans Day on Wednesday could bring highs in the low 70s, with mostly sunny skies and a high near 77 expected Thursday.
The forecast lists no watches or warnings for Austin. Friday is the easy outdoor-planning day, while weekend events may need a backup plan as clouds thicken and rain chances climb.
