Cleveland is waking to clear skies Sunday morning, with temperatures in the low 40s before the city warms to around 57 degrees. Sunshine will dominate the day, but southwest winds could gust up to 30 mph, giving the November forecast a decidedly blustery edge.
Sunny, Breezy Sunday
The afternoon should stay dry and bright, with winds increasing to 10 to 18 mph from the southwest. The latest outlook from the National Weather Service Cleveland adds more detail to the wind forecast than Saturday’s earlier preview, which also pointed to a sunny Sunday.
Clouds return Sunday night as temperatures fall only to about 44 degrees. West winds around 17 mph may continue to gust near 30 mph, so outdoor plans along the lakefront could feel cooler than the thermometer suggests.
Mild Stretch Builds Through Veterans Day
Monday stays mostly cloudy with a high near 55 and gusts up to 30 mph, while Tuesday brings the warmest day of the week at around 60 degrees under mostly sunny skies. Wednesday should remain fairly comfortable, with partly sunny conditions and a high near 56 for Veterans Day.
Rain Arrives Late Wednesday
The forecast turns unsettled after 7 p.m. Wednesday, when rain chances rise to about 50 percent. Thursday looks like the wettest day, with rain likely, a high near 50 and a 70 percent chance of precipitation.
Showers may linger Thursday night and Friday as temperatures slip into the 40s, followed by a smaller rain chance Saturday. Friday’s high is expected to reach only about 46 degrees, making the late-week pattern considerably colder and wetter than the early-week stretch.
Lake Erie Boaters Face Rougher Water
No land-based watches, warnings or advisories are listed for Cleveland, but Small Craft Advisories are in effect on parts of Lake Erie through Monday. Marine conditions could include southwest winds around 20 to 30 knots and waves building to 5 to 8 feet nearshore, with higher waves farther offshore.
