A 19-year-old man was arrested Thursday in Superior on charges of child sex trafficking and several drug counts involving children, and Boulder County investigators say they believe other young victims may still be out there. Jordan Cameron Ackerman was booked into the Boulder County Jail at about 7 p.m. Thursday after deputies executed a search warrant in the 2300 block of South Rock Creek Parkway in Superior.
Boulder County Sheriff's deputies arrested Ackerman on multiple charges, according to CBS Colorado, whose digital media producer Jennifer McRae reported that the arrest stems from an ongoing investigation by the Boulder County Sheriff's Office and the 20th Judicial District Attorney's Office. Per detectives, Ackerman is believed to have used social media to elicit sex and distribute illegal drugs to victims. Colorado Hometown Weekly reported that he faces eight felony charges in total.
Charges Span Trafficking and Drug Counts
Among the felony counts, Ackerman was charged with human trafficking for sexual servitude of a minor, the outlet reported. He also faces charges of unlawful distribution or transfer of cocaine to a minor and unlawful distribution or transfer of amphetamines to a minor, along with distribution of marijuana to a minor. The same report notes he is accused of distributing or trying to distribute methamphetamine and cocaine to children.
Beyond the felonies, Ackerman faces one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and one count of criminal attempt to contribute to the delinquency of a minor, both misdemeanors, the report states. The two counts described by the outlet as involving unlawful distribution or transfer of a controlled substance to a minor fall among the eight felony charges overall.
Investigators Say More Victims May Be Unidentified
Investigators believe there may be additional unidentified victims connected to the case, a concern echoed in both the sheriff's account and the local report, which stated that detectives believe there are other children involved whom they have not yet learned about. The evidence released so far does not specify how many potential victims investigators are looking for.

A Statewide Effort to Track Trafficking Cases
Cases like this one feed into a broader statewide effort to understand the scope of human trafficking in Colorado. The Colorado Division of Criminal Justice says its Colorado Human Trafficking Council produces annual reports summarizing the Council's work, discussions and recommendations, along with data collected on trafficking incidences and the efforts of law enforcement, prosecutors, child welfare agencies and service providers statewide.
The investigation into Ackerman remains active, and no additional details about potential victims or further charges have been released. Boulder County authorities continue to urge anyone with relevant information to come forward through the detective or tip-line contacts listed above.
