Three people were injured in a stabbing at a Cook Out on Woodruff Road early Sunday, and the suspect had left before Greenville County deputies arrived. All three victims are expected to recover, while investigators work to identify the suspect.

According to WSPA 7News, deputies were called to the restaurant at about 12:50 a.m. for a reported disturbance. They found one person with at least one stab wound and took that victim to the hospital.

How the Other Victims Got to the Hospital

Two other people who had each been stabbed at least once drove themselves to the hospital before deputies arrived, WSPA reported.

All three victims are expected to recover from their injuries, according to WSPA.

The Investigation

The suspect had left the scene before deputies arrived. The Greenville County Sheriff's Office is working to identify the suspect, and the stabbing remains under investigation, WSPA reported.

A Separate Woodruff Road Incident

An earlier violent incident on Woodruff Road involved a different location and circumstances: WSPA reported that a man was shot at the Holiday Inn Express on May 28, 2020, after a fight. That was a separate shooting, not the Cook Out stabbing.

Authorities have not released details about what led to the confrontation, the suspect’s identity or the weapon used. Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or Crime Stoppers of Greenville at 23-CRIME.
