According to WhatNow, Turnbuckle Distilling is building a five-acre destination in Littleton's Dakota Ridge area, with construction already underway at the northwest corner of Bowles Avenue and C-470. The project will bring together an expanded distillery, a restaurant, a multi-level bar, tasting rooms and event space, with the company targeting an opening in 2027.

According to WhatNow, the new distillery will include dedicated barreling space, an on-site barrel cave, and bottling rooms. Guests visiting the finished site will also be able to take tours of the production area, getting a direct look at how Turnbuckle's spirits move from grain to bottle.

The site sits within convenient reach of the Denver metro area and Red Rocks Amphitheatre, according to the same report, positioning it as both a production hub and a potential day-trip destination for visitors already headed toward the foothills.

A Restaurant With Exclusive Pours

The planned restaurant is expected to feature a chef's tasting menu and wood-fired pizzas, paired with a selection of wines, beers and spirits sourced from around the world. The menu is also set to include exclusive Turnbuckle offerings that guests reportedly won't find anywhere else, per the WhatNow report.

That combination of a globally minded drink list alongside house-exclusive pours suggests Turnbuckle wants the restaurant to function as both an introduction for newcomers and a draw for spirits enthusiasts seeking something they can't get off a shelf.

The Silo's Three Distinct Floors

Between the restaurant and the distillery, Turnbuckle plans to build The Silo, a dedicated bar and tasting space spread across three floors, as reported by WhatNow. The upper level will host tastings and special events, while the main floor is planned to offer cocktails and casual bar fare for a more laid-back crowd.

The lower level takes a different approach entirely. That speakeasy-style space is reserved for club members and is set to include a year-round cigar area, as noted by WhatNow, giving the building a tiered experience that moves from casual to exclusive the further down guests go.

Farming Ingredients On-Site

WhatNow reported that Turnbuckle intends to establish a small farming operation on the property to grow ingredients for its spirits. The company says it already relies on locally sourced and sustainably farmed ingredients, including blue corn sourced from tribal lands near Sleeping Ute Mountain in southwestern Colorado, according to WhatNow.

Turnbuckle Distilling is described as a family-owned Colorado spirits producer known for handcrafted offerings that include blue corn bourbon, rye whisky, gin and rum. Bringing a farm onto the Dakota Ridge property would let the company tie its field-to-bottle story even more directly to the land where its spirits are made and served.
