Two men were rushed to the hospital Saturday afternoon after police say they were shot inside a business in the 4000 block of Old York Road in North Baltimore. Officers found a 38-year-old man and a 46-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds when they responded to the scene, and both were taken to a nearby hospital where officials say they are being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
According to WBFF, police officers responded to the business after reports of the shooting, and found the two wounded men once they arrived. Medics transported both victims to the hospital, and detectives are now investigating what led to the gunfire. No suspect information, motive, or further circumstances surrounding the shooting have been released.
Detectives Seek Tips as Investigation Continues
Detectives are asking anyone with information about the shooting to call 410-396-2455. Those who wish to remain anonymous can contact the Metro Crime Stoppers tip line at 1-866-7LOCKUP, or submit tips by text through the Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland website, per the same report.
The shooting adds to a busy stretch of violence across the city. The same weekend, three people were hospitalized following two separate shootings overnight in Baltimore, according to The Baltimore Sun. It is not clear from available reporting whether that incident is connected to the Old York Road shooting.
Old York Road Corridor Has Seen Violence Before
This is not the first shooting reported along the Old York Road corridor this year. In March, officers responded to a home in the 3500 block of Old York Road around 12:30 a.m. and found a 34-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound, as Fox Baltimore reported at the time. And in June, police said 24-year-old Dashawn Taylor fatally shot 38-year-old Asia Williams and injured a 27-year-old man in the 5200 block of York Road, according to WBAL-TV, which reported that police considered Taylor armed and dangerous and asked the public not to approach him.
Separately, a 16-year-old boy was shot in North Baltimore a few minutes after 6 p.m. in an unrelated incident, CBS News reported. The earlier incidents were reported on Old York Road, York Road and elsewhere in North Baltimore.
Citywide, Baltimore has recorded 102 homicides in 2026 compared with 109 at the same point in 2025, a 6.4% decrease, along with 260 nonfatal shootings, according to a statement attributed to Baltimore City. As detectives continue piecing together what happened at the Old York Road business, they are relying on the public to come forward with any information that could move the investigation forward.
