West Bend police found four people dead inside a home in the 100 block of East Washington Street on Saturday, along with a dead dog, after a 911 call reported multiple deceased people inside the residence. Another girl inside the home was taken to the hospital, and officers recovered a firearm they believe was involved in the deaths.
West Bend 911 Dispatch received the call at approximately 11:47 a.m., according to Washington County Insider. Officers arriving at the scene found an adult woman, a boy, a girl, and an adult man dead inside the home, the outlet reported, along with a deceased dog. The girl who survived was transported to the hospital for medical treatment, though her condition has not been detailed by investigators.
WISN reported that police were called to the scene just before noon, with first responders taking the surviving girl to the hospital around the same time. The Milwaukee station reported she was in stable condition. WISN also reported that the people found inside the home were connected to one another, though further details about those relationships have not been made public.
Police Recover Firearm Believed Tied to the Deaths
Investigators recovered a firearm inside the residence that they believe was involved in the incident, according to the same Washington County Insider report. WISN reported that West Bend officer Brian McAndrews said police believe the suspect involved was inside the home along with the people who died. McAndrews also said police do not believe a suspect at large poses a concern to the community, according to WISN's report.
Separately, police said there was no known indication of an ongoing threat to the community, the Washington County Insider reported. The investigation remained active Saturday as investigators worked to determine the circumstances surrounding what happened inside the home, the outlet's report said.
