A new Woody mug is the collector-focused highlight of Wilfred's Lounge's fifth-anniversary celebration, a five-day event scheduled for Nov. 11-15 at the downtown Napa bar's 967 First St. location. The program also includes specialty drink offers, rum tastings and live music.

The schedule was detailed in an EIN Presswire announcement. Wilfred's opened in November 2021, according to the Napa Valley Register, which has covered the lounge's menu and mug culture.

Opening Night Pours and a Rum Tasting

On Nov. 11, guests bringing a Wilfred's mug can order one $1 Mai Tai, according to the announcement. Tanduay is scheduled to host rum tastings and give away branded items from 6 to 8 p.m.

Bringing your own mug to Wilfred's isn't new. The Register's earlier Mayne Menu feature on the bar noted that on Wednesday nights, drinks are half price when ordering dinner if guests bring in their mug — a long-running perk that anniversary week appears to echo and expand.

Tiki Shirts, Happy Hour and a Midweek Soundtrack

On Nov. 12, happy hour prices will be available from 5 p.m. until closing, and staff will wear the lounge's original tiki shirts. Three $10 cocktails are also on the menu: the Daiquirita, made with rum and blanco tequila; the Tahitian Punch, with rum, fassionola and falernum; and the Napa Sour, combining pisco, mezcal and sauvignon blanc syrup.

Happy hour runs all day Nov. 13. That evening, David Greenfield, who performs as DJ Sid Presley, is set to play patio records from 6 to 9 p.m., drawing on 1960s surf, garage rock and instrumental music, as well as selections from Asia and Latin America.

A New Woody Mug and a Patio Show

The new Woody mug goes on sale Nov. 14 at 5 p.m., with Woody scheduled to sign mugs. He released a mug at Wilfred's in 2023; details posted on the lounge's website say an earlier second-edition mug was handmade and hand-glazed, with 100 produced. Surf Monster is booked for a patio performance from 6 to 9 p.m.

The Nov. 15 offers include $1 wings while supplies last, half-price 1944 Mai Tais and $19 loco moco, available all day. Clément is scheduled to host rum tastings and offer branded giveaways from 5 to 7 p.m.

Downtown development and Wilfred's mug history

Citywide figures offer some context, though they do not isolate restaurant and bar changes since Wilfred's opened: the City of Napa Economic Development Division's FY 2024/25 annual report recorded a net gain of 376 businesses during that reporting period. Separately, City of Napa records say the City Council approved First Street Napa Phase II on June 24, 2025, authorizing a development with up to 78 residential condominium units and a hotel of up to 161 rooms.

The event information identifies Woody as the guest signing the anniversary mug. A separate Wilfred's Lounge product listing documents another item in the bar's mug history: its Barrel O’ Love mug was released in 2022 in a production run of 500. That listing concerns a distinct mug, not the Woody mug planned for the anniversary.

Throughout the five days, Wilfred's plans to serve cocktails from its early menu alongside the anniversary specials, giving longtime guests a chance to revisit the bar's original drink list. The lounge was created by the father-son duo of John and Nat Komes as a tiki bar and restaurant, according to earlier Register reporting on the concept's origins. Reservations and further information are available through Wilfred's Lounge's website.
