Allentown is waking to partly sunny skies Saturday morning, then clearing, with temperatures in the low 50s as a brisk west wind ushers in drier air and a mostly sunny afternoon. The high should reach 57 degrees, but gusts up to 25 mph will make the day feel sharper than the thermometer suggests.
Saturday Wind Gives Way To A Sunny Sunday
The National Weather Service expects west winds of 10 to 15 mph Saturday. Saturday night will turn partly cloudy with a low near 42, followed by a sunny Sunday with a high around 62.
Monday stays mostly sunny near 60 degrees, though wind gusts could reach 30 mph. Tuesday looks like the warmest day of the stretch, with sunshine and a high in the lower 60s, while Veterans Day should remain mostly sunny near 61.
Rain Returns Thursday With Snow Possible At Night
The forecast becomes more unsettled Thursday, when there is a 30% chance of rain in the afternoon. Rain could mix with snow Thursday night, followed by another 40% chance of rain and snow Friday, with temperatures topping out near 50 and dropping to about 28 Friday night.
That colder late-week turn adds a new wrinkle to the sunny weekend outlook described in Hoodline's earlier forecast. For now, Saturday and Sunday look dry enough for outdoor plans, but a jacket will be useful and loose patio items may need securing before the wind picks up.
