Wingstop has officially opened its first Carroll County restaurant, setting up shop at 140 Village Shopping Center in Westminster. The new location is open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 1 a.m., giving the area a late-night option for the chain's lemon pepper wings and fries.
The opening, confirmed by the Baltimore Sun, marks the wing chain's entry into a county that previously had no Wingstop of its own. Nearby options existed in Gambrills, Glen Burnie and Germantown, among other Maryland locations, according to a report from Westminster Wire, but Carroll County residents had to drive elsewhere until now.
How the Project Took Shape
Before the opening, a building permit and a Wingstop sign at 140 Village indicated that the restaurant was planned for the shopping center. Westminster Wire reported on those developments before construction was visible.
The tenant announcement came in a December 29, 2025, Facebook post naming Wingstop, Crunch Fitness and Brewery Fire as additions to the center. At the time, neither Wingstop nor 140 Village had announced an opening date, according to Westminster Wire.
Other New Tenants at 140 Village
Wingstop joins other recent additions at 140 Village. Crunch Fitness had opened, while Brewery Fire appeared to be moving forward, according to Westminster Wire.
The project also drew attention on social media, including an Instagram post teasing “Big news for Wingstop fans in Westminster, Maryland,” and a Facebook post showing a counter inside the location.
Wingstop’s Companywide Expansion
Wingstop reported 493 net new restaurant openings in 2025 and 19.2% unit growth, according to its fiscal 2025 results. Those companywide figures provide national expansion context but do not establish how the chain’s Maryland footprint has changed or provide specific evidence about the Westminster opening.
With the restaurant now serving customers daily into the early morning hours, Carroll County diners have a new late-night option without leaving town.
