The Courtesy's 10th annual Miracle on Orange is set to open November 10, but prospective guests have conflicting information about when the first reservations go live: Bungalower reports November 4, while The Courtesy's official search listing gives November 5. The Winter Park cocktail bar closed Monday after its Nightmare on Orange Halloween takeover and is now preparing to switch to holiday decor.
The bar at 1288 N. Orange Avenue will bring back holiday cocktails, elaborate decorations, and food from Swine & Sons, according to Bungalower. The outlet reports that Miracle on Orange has been a local tradition since 2017.
What Earlier Seasons Show
Bungalower's account above dates the tradition to 2017. A previous season was documented by Orlando Weekly in its Nov. 29–Dec. 5, 2023, issue, which said the pop-up ran through Dec. 30 and featured festive decor and a new cocktail menu. Those accounts document recurring holiday elements, but do not establish how the event's overall format has changed over time.
How Reservations Will Roll Out
The first reservation date remains unclear: Bungalower says bookings open at noon November 4, while The Courtesy's official search listing says noon November 5. Bungalower reports that the reservation waves cover November 10–24, November 25–December 9, and December 10–30, with the second and third releases scheduled for November 18 and December 2, respectively.
The bar is recommending reservations for parties of four to 10 people, and it will not seat groups of 12 or more during the holiday run, the outlet reports. Guests get two hours to soak in the festivities once seated, and reservations can be canceled up to two hours ahead of time if plans change.
No Reservation? Here's the Workaround
Smaller parties aren't shut out. Groups of one to three people can't book tables in advance but are encouraged to walk in, especially if they arrive early, and can join a text-based waitlist once there, Bungalower notes. The bar is also offering email alerts to give regulars a heads-up before each booking window opens.
The bar used a similar staggered booking system for its Halloween run. Orlando Weekly reported that Nightmare on Orange ran from September 22 through November 1 during normal business hours, with reservation waves, two-hour visits, and walk-ins. The outlet also reported an outdoor mobile bar on Fridays and Saturdays for waiting guests; Bungalower says The Courtesy will bring that setup back for the Miracle on Orange wait.
Details on pricing, exact hours, and capacity for this year's Christmas pop-up have not been laid out beyond what's confirmed so far. Guests have a November 10 reopening date, but should check the reservation information closely as the first booking window approaches.
