Boise Centre is set to fill with handmade pottery, vintage finds and upcycled crafts as Wintry Market marks its 15th year downtown. The juried indie art, craft and vintage bazaar runs Friday, Nov. 20, from 4 to 9 p.m. and continues Saturday, Nov. 21, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 850 W. Front St., according to the event's own schedule.
According to wintrymarket.com, this year's market will include somewhere between 99 and 175 booths, with the final tally depending on how many qualified applicants make it through the juried selection process. KBOI reported the event will feature 175 Idaho and Western makers, though that figure describes makers rather than the booth count the organizer cites, so the exact 2026 lineup size isn't locked in by either source.
Organizers describe Wintry Market as an upscale and inventive indie art, craft and vintage show that got its start in Boise 15 years ago, per the market's about page. No factory-made items are allowed, with exceptions carved out for vintage dealers, people repurposing or recycling materials into something new, and original artwork prints, the same source notes.
Fresh Faces Join a Returning Lineup
Part of what keeps the bazaar from feeling stale, organizers say, is turnover. The market tries to select at least 30% new vendors every year to keep things fresh for returning shoppers, a goal echoed in a local holiday-market guide from thisisboise.com, which separately reports that at least 30 percent of vendors are new annually.
Vendors hoping to land a spot have to plan months ahead. The application window opens July 1 and closes September 1, and this year's booth fee runs $350, according to the organizer's FAQ page.
Getting In the Door
Getting In the Door Admission is $10 on Friday for ages 13 and up, and a Friday ticket is also good for entry on Saturday. Saturday admission is $5, with children 12 and under getting in free. The thisisboise.com guide identifies the venue as Boise Centre West and instructs visitors to enter through the front doors facing the fountain.
Wintry Market isn't the only holiday market opening that weekend. The same thisisboise.com roundup calls Nov. 20-22 the biggest weekend on the local holiday-market calendar, with the Canyon County Christmas Show and Caldwell's Winter Wonderland also opening alongside Wintry Market.
A Boise Tradition With National Recognition
The market has picked up attention beyond Idaho over its 15 years. Food & Wine magazine named it the best holiday bazaar in Idaho, while Sunset magazine called it one of the best in the West, according to the organizer's about-us page. That same page describes Wintry Market and its sister markets collectively as showcasing work from more than 100 regional vintage dealers, artists and crafters using traditional art and craft methods.
