A delivery-and-takeout concept that lets diners order from six different restaurants in a single checkout is headed to Princeton. Wonder is set to open at MarketFair in the second half of 2027, bringing a lineup that includes concepts from celebrity chefs Michael Symon and Marcus Samuelsson under one roof along Route 1.

The MarketFair location will house six distinct menus: Limesalt, Tejas Barbeque, Fred's Meat & Bread, Yasas by Michael Symon, Streetbird by Marcus Samuelsson and Burger Baby, according to MarketFair's website. The idea, per the shopping center, is to bring multiple restaurant concepts together under one roof so customers can order from several kitchens at once. As 94.5 PST first reported locally, Wonder allows customers to order from a variety of restaurants and try celebrity chefs' dishes in a single transaction.

How the Ordering Model Works

Wonder's food is made to order and delivered within 30 minutes, according to New Jersey Monthly, with pickup and limited dine-in options also available. Per 94.5 PST's reporting, Wonder primarily serves takeout and delivery orders, and its surrounding-area locations have offered only a few dine-in seats rather than full restaurant seating.

MarketFair's senior general manager, Anthony Palino, framed the addition as part of a broader shift at the center. He said MarketFair's continued growth builds on its strong foundation with a new vision for the future, and that Wonder's unique approach to dining, impressive variety and focus on convenience reflect that vision, according to Patch.

Part of a Larger MarketFair Overhaul

The Wonder announcement lands in the middle of a multi-year growth plan at the Princeton shopping center. MarketFair has announced more than 41,000 square feet of new tenants coming soon, the station's report notes, and property owner Nuveen Real Estate has said it invested $5 million to modernize the site as part of that multiyear strategy, per NJBIZ.

MarketFair officials said five new businesses were expected to open at the center in 2026, with more tenants anticipated, according to Princeton Info. Additional improvements planned for the same year include curb-access and ADA upgrades, energy-efficient lighting and HVAC work, and new soft seating and landscaping, the outlet reported.

More Restaurants and Retail on the Way

MarketFair says it will welcome additional retail and dining concepts in 2027, including OFFLINE by Aerie, Kohler Co., LaScala's Fire and Warby Parker. LaScala's Fire is coming to the center next to Seasons 52, while Warby Parker already opened a roughly 1,900-square-foot store at MarketFair in late March, per NJBIZ. Federal Donuts & Chicken is also planning a spot next to Barnes & Noble, though no specific opening date has been announced, according to Princeton Info.

The Wonder opening follows sweetgreen's arrival at the center, which MarketFair's website ties to September 2026, though Princeton Info had earlier reported the chain was expected to open in summer 2026 in a space across from Tommy's Tavern + Tap. Either way, sweetgreen has since opened next to Barnes & Noble at MarketFair, according to 94.5 PST.

Wonder has expanded into New Jersey and Pennsylvania in recent months and, per New Jersey Monthly, plans to launch seven additional New Jersey locations this spring and summer in Brick, Jersey City, Toms River, Shrewsbury, Woodbridge and Mount Laurel, while a Cherry Hill location has already opened. For Princeton shoppers, the MarketFair debut adds another stop to that growing list — one that, for now, remains slated only for sometime in the second half of 2027.
