Add another stop to your tour of Haight Street's amazing vintage clothes boutiques: Relic Vintage at 1605 Haight, the former site of Exposé, is open for business.
Relic Vintage opened its doors on Friday, March 9th, so we popped in to see how things were going. The shop has a cool, mint-green aesthetic, and contains a small but well-curated selection of men and women's clothing from the 1920's through the 1980's, with an emphasis on the '40s, '50s, and '60s. They also carry some American and local retro reproduction pieces, which include some tailored pencil skirts, and handmade silk nighties. Oran Scott, owner of the new store, and former long-time manager of La Rosa Vintage at 1711 Haight, tells us there may be grand opening festivities in the works, and we'll let you know about that. For now you can like Relic Vintage on Facebook to get updates about the store and see more photos. They'll have their own website soon, too. Relic Vintage is in good company in the upper Haight, so we're sure this is the beginning of great things for Scott and Co. Mazel Tov!
