Just a month after El Balazo closed its doors, and two weeks after a sign went up advertising the space's availability, plans are already underway to transfer the property to a new operation.
Thomas Redmond, the realtor, said that the space is being made available jointly by the business's former proprietor, Francisco Sandoval, and the building's owner. He said he's been meeting with a handful of prospective buyers (about five) and is hopeful for a quick turnaround. First, the business (its name and fixtures, all of which have remained in place) are being offered for sale to anyone who might want to continue the business as it was. After the transfer of the restaurant business, which Redmond said he hoped to take place this week, the building, which includes the restaurant space and two rental flats upstairs, will go on the market.
