Call for submissions! Want to see your work on Uppercasing? So do we.

This neighborhood is only as awesome as the people who live here. With that in mind, we want to hear from you. We're looking for any interesting reflections, profiles of fascinating folks who live or work here, ideas you have for the future of the 'hood, or any hilarious stories you have that are, somehow, quintessentially Haight Street. Really anything goes, so long as it relates to the neighborhood. Here are some guidelines:

• Submissions should be between 200 and 1000 words.
• Deadline for submitting is May 23rd, one month from today.
• Email submissions to [email protected] with "submission" in the subject line.
• Bonus points if you include a photo.

We'll pick our favorite 5, run them the first week of June in no particular order. At the end of the week, we'll poll you guys to see whose story you liked the most. The winner will get some fun local goodies, to be announced later. May 23rd seems far away, but we want to make sure you get plenty of time to put something together.
