The Whitney Young Childhood Development Center, also known as the school at the corner of Page and Masonic, is undergoing a minor transformation. It's in the process of re-emerging as a collaboration with Florence Crittenton Services, called FacesSF, Family & Child Empowerment Services.
They're having a party next week, and you're invited.
Together, the two organizations have been around for a long time (170 collective years), and have three childcare programs: the one at 1101 Masonic, plus one in Bayview and another in Hayes Valley. They offer affordable, subsidized, quality childcare and early education services for families who can't otherwise afford it. And next Wednesday, December 5, you have a chance to learn more about the school and come say hi. Stop by from 6 to 8, meet the director, see what's up.
