Holiday Toy Drive at Robert's Hardware
Want to do something good for the Holidays? We've got just the thing.

From now until December 20th, you can drop unwrapped toys and gifts at Robert's Hardware that will go to benefit the 33 children and 15 adolescents at Buchanan Park Apartments, the Section 8 Housing on Webster Street in the Fillmore. We spoke to some folks running the toy drive who told us that in the past, the older kids have gotten overlooked. The donation bins will be full of stuffed animals and blocks, but not a whole lot of teen-appropriate gifts. So what do you get for teenagers you don't know? "Gift cards for $10 - $20 work great." If you drop off a toy or gift before December 20, you'll get a coupon for a free sandwich at Sunrise Deli! Remember, everything should be new, and unwrapped, so that gifts can be sorted into their proper age group. If you have any questions about the toy drive, you can contact Christina Epp, the resource coordinator at Buchanan Park: [email protected] Happy giving!
