The new cement slab in front of the old Pure Beauty space didn't last very long.
We walked past 1560 Haight in the morning and the new slab was pure as the freshly driven snow, as they say. By night, the caution tape barrier around was it ripped and mangled, and the slab looked like this:
We figure they'll probably cover it up, so we wanted to memorialize it for you.
This got us checking on the status of the the space. We can still find it listed for sale in several places, so no news yet.
Same status at 1640. We've heard some rumors that they're both going to be new restaurants, but we haven't been able to confirm. Anyone hear any whispers?
