According to the state liquor licensing board, the next breath of life at 1793 Haight is going to be an Indian restaurant.
The applicant is Balbir Singh Dhillon, and the permit application is filed for the former Kan Zaman storefront, which closed just a couple of months ago. So although we're down a hookah bar and some mulled wine, maybe the neighborhood can look forward to another Indian restaurant. Whaddya say? There's no word yet on when the restaurant might open or when renovations might commence, but we'll keep you posted.
