For your Tuesday morning, a brief synopsis of gustatory changes on the street.
First, progress is moving swiftly for Sparrow at 1640 Haight. Yesterday we saw some slabs of raw wood being carried inside, we've seen some test run laser-cut wood pieces with the new logo. The temporary bar has been carried off to its new home at a wine bar up north, and the space is shaping up nicely. Second, we heard a little rumor that the old Tully's on Cole is about to be a Peet's coffee shop. (We'll keep you posted on that.) And finally, Martin Mack's has finally changed hands a little over a week ago, and has changed from its receivership into new hands. The new owners plan to pay more attention to the brick parklet out front and get things up and running a little better. That's all for now, folks.
