This map has been making the rounds, but if you haven't seen it it's totally worth a minute (or in our case, 45) of your time. Joyous history! Noah Veltman, an OpenNews fellow and our new favorite person, compiled the interactive map of San Francisco. The map lists the history of the name of many of the major streets in San Francisco. You can zoom click and read to your heart's content. The history of the name Haight, appropriately, is a little fuzzy. The map is still missing a few streets here and there but we bet if you hit Noah up with some history he'll update it. So go ahead, check it out.
