Scoot moved in to your backyard. Here's how it works.

Scoot is basically like Zipcar, but for Scooters. They go about 25-30 MPH, you can pay for it with your smartphone, you plug them into a wall outlet to charge them, and you don't need a motorcycle license. They even come with a helmet. They've opened a garage in the Haight, at the corner of Fell and Cole Streets in a residential garage. You'll be able to recognize it by the Scoot sign that will appear on the door on Thursday. They're so excited to be in the 'hood that they're offering you guys a deal. If you want to try out Scoot, put 'Uppercasing' in the "how did you hear about us" field when you sign up, and they'll give you a $5 credit. Sweet.
