And grown-ups, too!
Earlier this month, Tantrum in Cole Valley started offering weekly Sunday morning workshops for kids 5-14 ("Lions Cub"), and monthly Wednesday night workshops for kids and grown-ups ("Lion Tamers"). For $25, you can drop your kid at Tantrum on Sundays any time between 9 & 10:30am. The folks at Tantrum will feed them snacks from La Boulange, do crafts with them for a while, and you can pick 'em up any time before 11am. Not a bad way to get the groceries done. This week, on June 30, they'll be making marionettes, which, let's face it, is pretty awesome. On July 7th, they'll be making tutus and clown collars. The monthly Wednesday night workshop changes every month, depending on who Tantrum partners with. It costs $39, and they'll serve "beverages and bites." The next Wednesday workshop is on July 3rd from 7:30-10pm, and this one is specifically for grown-ups (we almost said "adults only," but that sounds like a different kind of workshop altogether). Included in the $39 will be the supplies to make a "feather headdress." You can get tickets for the kids workshop here, and the adult workshop here, or you can call the store and tell 'em Uppercasing sent you. They'll give you a $5 discount if you heard about it from us.
