Ben & Jerry's had an eventful weekend: their iconic Haight Ashbury street signs on the pillar outside the front door were stolen.
We tried to find out more, but the clerk behind the counter wasn't even aware that the sign had been lifted until we called. He went to investigate but came back with nothing. Maybe this is why the real street sign in too high for grabby tourists. Speaking of which, anyone remember the homeless guy who used to hang out at the corner who used to charge tourists a quarter to tell them exactly where they had to stand to get the street sign, the 4:20 clock, and their relatives in their photo? We digress. The sign theft remains a mystery! Anyone see anything, or notice when it went missing?
