It seems like it should be absurdly early for Hardly Strictly Bluegrass 2013 to be announcing its lineup (which it did earlier this week).
In fact, it's only a month away.
The annual weekend-long folk and bluegrass festival, this year the weekend of October 4, 5 and 6th, will shut down Golden Gate Park for a weekend of free music. Gird your loins. The daily schedules haven't been posted yet (give them a week or so), but the lineup this year includes, among others, Emmylou Harris, Sonny & the Sunsets, Martha Wainwright, Conor Oberst, Patty Griffin, the Kate McGarrigle tribute show (including Sloan Wainwright, and quite certainly Martha and Rufus and some other family friends), Steve Martin, Low, Calexico, and loads of others. Guys, this might be the most exciting Hardly Strictly lineup we've ever seen. Stay tuned for band previews and daily schedules.
