Happy Halloween, friends. Here's what's happening.

Apart from your standard honoring the dead, dressing-up, pumpkin carving and candy foraging, there are a few items of note. First, Honey Soundsystem is hosting a show at F8 (1192 Folsom): tickets are $15. Milk Bar is hosting DJ Vin Sol tonight for a costume dance party (free). Madrone on Divisadero is hosting a Halloween Thursday night disco party ($5 after 10 PM). There's also a Hayes Street Haunted Hospital (free) at 2024 Hayes tonight from 7 to 9 PM. Then there's a free haunted tour of City Hall tonight. There's also our personal favorite, the Dia de los Muertos procession in the Mission this Saturday night. Paint your face, bring your calaveras. And if none of that is your taste, there's always the option of a scary movie marathon, including: - "The Haunting" (the 1963 version, please) - Dario Argento's "Opera" and "Suspiria" - "Dead Alive," from a young Peter Jackson - "Evil Dead" Don't forget the apple cider and pumpkin beer. Stay safe, be spooky.
