
It looks like more Mexican is headed our way.
The former Asqew space at 1607 Haight is becoming something called Urban Taco. The owner is someone named Victor Juarez, who might be the same guy who owns Chilango on Church Street. If that's the case, it might be a slightly higher-end Mexican option than, say, El Faro. They have a beer and wine license, so that's a pretty good start. The space has been vacant since last November, when Asqew shut its doors. So far, we don't have a ton of information to offer, but we're digging around, so stay tuned.
