For your Sunday enjoyment, here are some tasty morsels left over from the week that was.
Greenburger's has informed us that its last day in business will be this coming Friday, May 30th. The restaurant will be open today starting at 11:30am, but just featuring the regular menu (no brunch). Then, after the Monday holiday and its regular Tuesday off, it'll be open again Wednesday through Friday from 5pm to 10pm (no lunch service). Stay tuned for more details on future plans for the space.
The official event page for the upcoming Lower Haight Art Walk is now live, featuring artwork by Sam Flores and a list of participating merchants. RSVP, invite friends, and stay tuned for more details from us next week.
Three Twins Ice Cream is soliciting Pride-themed flavor ideas to be served at the Lower Haight shop at the end of June. For inspiration, you can check out our story about the 2010 edition, which included flavors like "Pink Triangle," "Don't Ask Don't Tell," and "Salted Nuts."
In street art news, Helene G. tipped us to this wooden bird in a birdcage hung from a tree on the south side of Page, between Scott and Pierce:

A few blocks southeast, Reader Melissa S. sent in this photo from Waller and Steiner, capturing some of the tension on the Wiggle:

Reader Angela R. alerts us that her friend's car was stolen some time on Friday from its parking spot at Oak and Steiner. It's described as a white 1991 Honda Accord LX, and the last three digits of the license plate are 444. So, keep an eye out.
SFist posted an interview this week with drag legend Heklina, who details how the idea for Trannyshack was born in the mid-'90s right here in the Lower Haight.
In crime news, a 31-year-old man was mugged at gunpoint near Haight and Buchanan on Tuesday, the Examiner reports. The gun-brandishing suspect approached the victim around 11:10pm and demanded his property. A struggle ensued, and the suspect struck the victim on the back of the head with the gun, then took his computer and cameras and fled. No arrest was made, as of the latest reporting.
Finally, local residents Helene Goupil and Ginger Godines posted the following submission yesterday to a crowdsourced film project called One Day In SF. The video features interviews with merchants from Gallery 683, Mickey's Monkey, KK Cafe, and J.P. Kempt discussing the future of the city.
Happy Sunday, gang.
