Irish Pop-Up At Wing Wings Tomorrow

By Andrew Dudley - Published on June 02, 2014.
A familiar face will be back on the 400 block of Haight tomorrow night for a special pop-up at Wing Wings.
Gillian Fitzgerald, who you may remember from her days behind the bar at Nickies, is taking a quick break from her new gig at Virgil's Sea Room to return to the neighborhood. She's crafting a one-night-only menu of traditional Irish- and British-inspired fare she's dubbing "Batter By The Bay."
The line-up includes Big Daddy-battered Alaskan cod and chips with house-made tartar sauce, onion rings, curry sauce, and garlic sauce. Wing Wings is in the early stages of seeking a beer and wine license, so in the interim, events like these remain BYOB.
Batter By The Bay is happening tomorrow (Tuesday) night from 6pm to 10pm at Wing Wings (422 Haight), so stop on by if you're feeling lucky.
