Worked up over the World Cup? You've still got lots of time left to catch the proceedings, and you may as well do it right here at home. We advise dispensing with caution and decorum, but remember to be a good neighbor. And pace yourself: you've got a few weeks to go.
Without further ado, here's our lineup for your best bets for soccer fandom in the neighborhood.

SECOND ACT MARKETPLACE (1727 Haight)
Second Act will be hosting games on the big screen in their brand-new event space and movie theater. They'll be showing a selection of games conveniently close to venders like Eatwell Farm's Icebox, Anda Piroshki and Spice Hound, including USA vs. Portugal on Sunday at 3pm, Croatia vs. Mexico on Monday at 1pm, Japan vs. Columbia on Tuesday at 1pm, Ecuador vs. France on Wednesday at 1pm, and the USA vs. Germany on Thursday at 9am.

MARTIN MACKS (1568 Haight)
Marty Macks is, of course, screening the World Cup on its oodles of flatscreens. They serve pub fare if you're planning on making it a long stay, and in honor of the World Cup they've been quietly opening earlier (9:30am or 10am, instead of their usual noon) to make sure you don't miss a game.

KEZAR PUB (770 Stanyan)
Kezar is opening Saturday and Sunday at 6am (god bless them!) in plenty of time for the early World Cup games (9am). They'll be showing every game with plenty of TVs leftover for baseball. Will they serve you food? Yes, they will.

TRAX BAR (1437 Haight)
Trax will be generously giving up at least one of its usually South Park-and-music-video-devoted TV's to game coverage. They're also holding their usual drink specials ($2 beers on Tuesdays and $3 cosmos on Thursdays for the artistically inclined). We hear Uruguay's uniforms are, ahem, revealing.

We're guessing that HOBSON'S CHOICE, THE GOLD CANE, and CLUB DELUXE will be participating, too, if not as wholeheartedly.

Got another secret spot? Do share. In the meantime, we'll see you on a bar stool at one of these neighborhood spots.
