It's been almost four years since San Francisco's District 8 elected its current Board of Supervisors representative, and this year the seat on the Board is up for election.
This November, we'll be deciding whether Scott Weiner, the incumbent representative, continues to represent the neighborhoods of the Castro, Noe Valley, Diamond Heights, Glen Park, Corona Heights, Eureka Valley, Dolores Heights, Mission Dolores, Duboce Triangle and Buena Vista Park, or if we'd like to have someone else take his place.

We reached out to all five of the candidates running for the District 8 seat this year (that would be Tom Wayne Basso, George Davis, John Nulty, Michael Petrelis and Scott Wiener) and four of them, including the incumbent, have agreed to answer questions from our readers.

This is your chance to get to know where the candidates stand on issues that are important to you for District 8 and the city as a whole, so if you've got questions, now's your chance to chime in.

Here are the guidelines:

  1. Your questions should be short — two sentences long, max.
  2. You can either post your questions in the comments section below, or, if you'd like to remain anonymous, email them to us — tips [at] hoodline {{dot}} com.
  3. You can submit as many questions as you'd like.

Just send us your questions by a week from today — Friday, September 19th — and we'll take it from there.

So ... what's on your mind?
