You're hopefully celebrating a fun and meaningful MLK Day holiday today, but starting tomorrow, there's music on the agenda.

Here are our picks for live music coming your way in the week ahead. (Did we miss anything good? Let us know in the comments.)

Tuesday, January 20th

Act: Mosaics
Location: Brick & Mortar
Start Time: 8pm
Price: $5
This duo of Tyler Hill and Devon Kelts combines the simplicity of an acoustic guitar with rhythmic electronica sounds, creating a unique sound that's not to be missed. Their self-titled EP creates a middle ground between the accessible and the experimental, and if it's any indication of how the live show is (hint: it is), we highly suggest you take a trip down to check these guys out for a boundary-pushing show.

Start Time: 8pm

It’s no wonder that Stella has found a place in the world of music. Destined to make her mark on this industry from birth, the daughter of San Francisco legend Carlos Santana recently made waves with her first single “The Reason”, released in August of last year. Though Stella began her music career as a pianist at the young age of five, her genetics eventually caught up with her and she embraced the guitar as well. After spending a few years on the East Coast, Stella returns home to the Bay Area armed with experience and a repertoire of original music that’s sure to impress.

Thursday, January 22nd

Location: Brick & Mortar
Start Time: 8pm
Price: $5
Started by long-time friends Karl Meischen (keyboards), Will Loving (guitar) and Nick Tatro (drums), the Greening has been a staple of the San Francisco underground scene for over 13 years. Originally just a three-piece group, the group adopted bass player Adam Pallin during the recording of its third record, Eon v. Aeon. These guys are all exceptionally accomplished musicians. Currently in the process of recording a fourth release, The Greening brings its brand of prog-pop to the stage of Brick & Mortar along with classic rock revivalist group, Night Herons.

Friday, January 23rd

Location: Milk Bar
Start Time: 9pm
Price: $8
Evan Greenwald’s brainchild False Priest is something of a local super group. The band is a five piece band containing members from local SF acts such as Everyone is Dirty and Electric Magpie, currently based in Marin. Originally a vehicle for Greenwald’s indie rock songwriting style, the band has had somewhat of a revolving door of players, and that’s what makes going to a False Priest show a distinct experience each time. Considering the network of musicians that have played with the project, it’s no wonder that False Priest has shared the stage with acts such as Rin Tin Tiger (see below) and The She’s in its short lifespan.

Saturday, January 24th

Location: Slim's
Start Time: 8pm
Price: $15
Speaking of Rin Tin Tiger, fans of the band's brand of indie rock dashed with a hint of country twang can see them this week as well. The SF-based project has gained a fair amount of airplay and press since its inception and continues to develop a devout following as the years go on. Possessing one of the more unique contemporary sounds, the band has been described as a mix between early Bob Dylan and Tupac (?) and have shared the stage with national acts such as The Lumineers and Minus The Bear. Still seeing success come from their 2013 record “Splinter Remedies”, Rin Tin Tiger joins a solid bill with fellow local acts Eyes on the Shore and Down and Outlaws.
