If you're restless after a weekend of being cooped up by the rain and wind, never fear. This week Hayes Valley is jam-packed with a slew of activities that appeal to all types, whether you're into macrame or trivia nights.

In the mood for a little DIY this Valentine's Day? With Hallmark's favorite holiday fast approaching, Hayes Valley's Lilikoi Design + Letterpress is hosting a "Letterpress and Watercolor Valentine's Day Card Workshop" this week in their studio. February 10th and 11th, guests will get the chance to create six uniquely original "love" cards, sip on bubbly, and nosh on chocolate for $40. No letterpress experience is required. Get tickets or learn more at Eventbrite. If you miss this, Lilikoi will also be at Proxy on the 14th for any last minute Valentine's Day gifts from noon-5pm along with Half Hitch Goods and The Petaler.

SF Beer Week continues, with Hayes Valley taking a starring position in the activities this week. Today (February 9th), Fig & Thistle will be hosting a "Bukowski and Beer" event. Swing by between 4pm and 10pm to taste some bitter IPAs in the spirit of our favorite grumpy poet.

Two Sisters Bar and Books is hosting a Trivia Night on Tuesday, February 10th hosted by Firestone Walker Brewing Co.  If you're interested in Firestone Walker's beer itself, stop by on February 12th for a special presentation of their sours and rare anniversary ales. Finally, on Valentine's Day, "Flights of Fancy (Beers)" will take place from noon to 10pm.

Speaking of beer, Bar Jules is releasing its brewing collaboration with Social Kitchen. Using 50 lbs of peaches roasted by Bar Jules, Social Kitchen has been fermenting the fruit in preparation for Tuesday night. Swing by on February 10th for a special burger and beer night.

This Friday, February 13th, Rickshaw Stop is featuring the band Lovemakers. Described as having a "passionate, sexually charged fury," they could be just the ticket to get your dance on with a loved one, or shake out your singledom on your own.

Beer and concerts are all good, but let's get back to crafts. Turns out macrame isn't just for your mom. On Sunday, February 15th, Gather is hosting a Macrame Plant Workshop with Nicole Kaufman of The Copper Fox. The 6pm class will teach even macrame newbies the basics of knot-making with friends. Plus, you won't go away empty-handed: everyone will be taught how to make their very own plant hanger for showing off a succulent or two. Get tickets or learn more at Gather

Finally, plan ahead and learn how to Create From Your Obsessions with an upcoming Makeshift Society workshop. On February 20th, Esmé Weijun Wang and Jennifer Mattson will be discussing how to access and nurture your creative obsessions. Makeshift classes tend to sell out so sign up stat if you're interested.

Did we miss any activities and events this week? Let us know in the comments. In the meantime, enjoy a week filled with beer tastings, crafting, and love.
