It's been a busy news week in North Beach. We got some news on the future of the new Mama's and Lil' Mama's location, District 3 Supervisor Julie Christensen opened her campaign headquarters, and SFPD Central Station drew over 1,000 people for its National Night Out event. We also got an update on the uncertain future of the North Beach Baking Company, and welcomed two new businesses to Broadway: the new Noc Noc, which is already open, and the soon-to-debut restaurant/bar Prohibition.
Tonight, the monthly North Beach First Friday Crawl is back, with 10 locations hosting free events from 6-9pm. New to the roster this month is La Trappe (800 Greenwich St.) which will host a sketch event sponsored by the Artist & Craftsman Supply San Francisco, and a spoken word event at Naivasha Studio and Gallery (1499 Grant Ave.).
