As we predicted earlier this week, the artist formerly known as La Boulange is set to rise again. Pascal Rigo, who founded the artisan bakery mini-chain before selling it to Starbucks in 2012, has managed to hold on to six of the 23 locations closed by the coffee megalith earlier this month, and will be reviving them in the coming months. 

Business filings for six 'La Boulangerie de San Francisco' locations have now been registered to a company based out of Rigo's home address. They include the original location at 2325 Pine St., the Hayes Valley location (500 Hayes St.), and the Cole Valley location (1000 Cole St.) Also returning: Cow Hollow (1909 Union St.), Pacific Heights (2043 Fillmore St.), and Noe Valley (3898 24th St.) 

Rigo, who did not respond to repeated requests for comment, confirmed the reopenings to Inside Scoop, adding that the new era would kick off with the original Pine location, which is set to reopen next Thursday, October 1st at 7am. It's likely that the other five will follow in the coming weeks. Menu-wise, Rigo says he'll be taking things in a "more rustic" direction, but that some undisclosed customer favorites will remain.
