The week is winding down, but before you go anywhere in your spooky halloween costume, catch up on this week's top news bites:

At 1:30pm today in Demonstration Gardens (333 Golden Gate Ave.), three mayoral candidates will join Tenderloin-based poets for a creative debate on homelessness issues impacting the neighborhood.

On the philanthropy front, Saint Francis Foundation and Tenderloin Health Improvement Partnership (Tenderloin HIP) announced that they are committing $1 million to fund four neighborhood services in 2016. Recipients of the first round of grants are: Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco, Tenderloin Safe Passage, Tenderloin Economic Development Project and Larkin Street Youth Services.

Two Tenderloin artists debuted a collaboration with the Tenderloin Museum that aims to elevate underrepresented voices residing in the neighborhood. The interactive exhibition will be on display through mid-December.

The Tenderloin Museum is also hosting a free celebration at 6:30pm next Thursday for the first local artist, Ryan De La Hoz, to be featured in the museum gift shop. Leading up to the holidays, the store will feature exclusive apparel, prints, and accessories from his brand CoolTry.

As for festive events this weekend, there's a haunted musical at the Curran Theater, ghost stories for children at the Main Public Library, a spooky variety show at PianoFight and much more...
