Got an event you want the neighborhood to know about? To be included in our next SoMa weekly roundup, please fill out the form at this link by Tuesday evening.

With a bit of rain and a heated election behind us, another beautiful weekend is on the horizon. But before we put this week to bed, here's the top highlights from this busy week:

Ahead of election day, activists with the Coalition on Homelessness flooded Airbnb's SoMa atrium with speeches, signage and a brass band, rallying in support of Proposition F. The proposition, which would have implemented new restrictions on short-term rentals, ultimately failed at the polls—a victory for Airbnb, which now plans to create home-sharing political clubs in 100 cities across the US over the next year.

On the topic of housing, SF Weekly examined quality-of-life complaints at Clementina Towers, the public housing complex at Clementina and Fourth streets. Those issues may be exacerbated by the lack of mental health services onsite, especially for newer residents who've spent time living on the streets.

In development news, the Commission on Community Investment and Infrastructure, which is overseeing Mission Bay development, certified the environmental report for the proposed 11-acre Golden State Warriors arena just south of AT&T Park. The San Jose Mercury News reports that while public testimony was primarily positive, members of the Mission Bay Alliance strongly oppose the project and are planning to appeal the decision. The Planning Commission is expected to approve the environmental report this afternoon as well.

On the transit front, anyone living, working or simply passing through 4th & King area or Mission Bay should beware: Central Subway construction between this Friday, Nov. 6th and Saturday, Nov. 14th will cause major detours and delays.

Finally, a bit of dining news:

The new nightclub/pizza parlor Codeword (917 Folsom St.) from the DNA Lounge crew could open as early as next Tuesday, Nov. 10.

El Capitan (1123 Folsom St.) recently launched a full bar and cocktail program to complement restaurant's Latin/Caribbean fare. The new cocktail menu isn't on their website just yet, but the new drinks make use of rum, tequila, cachaça, mezcal and other traditional Latin American and Caribbean spirits, as well as seasonal touches.

Tablehopper reports that Deli Board (1058 Folsom St.) is bringing Deli Board Nights back from 6-9pm this evening, featuring the Fat Boy Burrito.

Finally, Pabu bartenders Nick Jones and Kaitlin Ryan are doing a bar takeover at Forgery (1525 Mission St.) from 8pm to close Monday night. This is the first event in a series of takeovers at the newish cocktail bar—which was recently named one of the best bars in America by Playboy.
