Did you miss a week's worth of Inner Sunset news and happenings? Here's what you need to know.

Last Saturday, we reported on Say Cheese owner Roger Soudah, who expressed skepticism about Proposition J, the recently passed referendum that will offer financial assistance to legacy businesses facing hard times.

On Sunday, we looked at a proposed Affordable Housing Density Program intended to create more housing along major transit corridors. If the plan is approved by the Planning Commission and Board of Supervisors, we could see buildings with six or seven stories rise along the N-Judah route in the next few years.

A look back at the last two weeks of crime in the Inner Sunset included more hot prowl burglaries, a fatal hit-and-run near 24th Avenue and Noriega, and a bizarre assault on the corner of 9th & Irving over a slice of pizza.

A tech entrepreneur who lives in the neighborhood has created the Sunset Pub Crawl, a new app that "leads teams on a scavenger hunt through five neighborhood bars that's part trivia game, part mental gymnasium."

In other news, local designers Timothy Steward and Stephanie Jordan have successfully Kickstarted a local landmark into a sleek piece of home decor: the Sutro Tower Rack System. According to the duo, the item can serve as a handy coat rack, and/or a modular storage system.

And now, on to your weekend events ahead.

Known in the U.S. primarily as Merton's best friend and in Europe as a daringly original avant-garde poet, Lax left behind a promising New York writing career to travel with a circus, live among immigrants in post-war Marseilles and settle on a series of remote Greek islands where he learned and recorded the simple wisdom of the local people."
