Bike Yield Saga Update: Supes Reviewing Mayor-Opposed Law Next WeekPhoto: Nuala Sawyer/Hoodline

Supervisors Kim, Cohen and Wiener will review the merits of the Bike Yield Law at next Monday's Land Use and Transportation Committee meeting. The plan wouldn't legalize bicyclists running stop signs; instead, it would request that SFPD treat cyclists who yield at stop signs as the lowest traffic enforcement priority. This argument comes after Park Station upped enforcement along the popular Wiggle bike route earlier this year, causing cyclists to stage a protest.

The committee will meet Monday, December 7th at 1:30pm, at City Hall. As Mayor Lee opposes the law, it will need eight votes from the Board of Supervisors in order to pass.
